The Long Reunion

Invader has recently been inactive on his social media. The last post before his disappearance is related to the new version of his app FlashInvaders. But finally, Invader has returned to his Instagram, once again invading Paris with 10 additional mosaic installations from the end of June with PA_1503 to the current day PA_1512. This is most likely due to the Olympics in France.

PA_1512

The PA_1512 mosaic is an ordinary FlashInvaders character in light blue, cyan, and black, seemingly running towards a direction. You may wonder how this is a tribute to the Paris Olympics; Well, just look at the character’s color scheme, location, and pose.

Invader used the color scheme of the decoration of the Olympic venue, Hôtel de Ville, which is exactly blue and cyan. It is Paris' city hall that hosts significant events in the very center of France’s capital, and of course, the venue for athletics in the Olympics. In addition, the venue wraps around the famous Seine River, Paris’ most renowned tourist spot. It is also where the opening ceremony of the Olympics and the marathon swimming course is located. Therefore the Invader is located near the Hôtel de Ville and is in a running motion.
