An Overview

The Icons of Urban Art Exhibition is a world tour that first premiered at the MUCA in 2020, at Munich. The exhibition includes ten internationally recognized street artists, including Banksy, Barry McGee, Invader, JR, Kaws, osgemeos, Richard Hambleton, Shepard Fairey, Swoon, and Vhils, displaying outstanding works from all artists from MUCA's permanent collections. The world tour then continued in other renowned museums in Oita, Kyoto, and Tokyo, Japan.

Now, in Jung District, South Korea, from the 2nd of October 2024 to the 2nd of February 2025, the exhibition displays various works from all these artists, compiling over 72 carefully selected pieces from MUCA's permanent collections.

The opening ceremony was held on the first of October, attended by various arts officials, including the president of Chungmu Art Center Jose Hyun. In addition, the director of the MUCA visited and gave a tour of the exhibition.
