Eminem Releases Album 'The Death of Slim Shady, (Coup De Grâce)'
Eminem has just released his new album 'The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce)' on 12 July, 04:00 am UTC
This comes after the release of two teaser tracks, namely Houdini and Tobey, and 2 trailers the day prior to the release of the album on 11 July 2024. This 19-track album spans just over 1 hour, 1 hour and 4 minutes to be exact, and was released 4 years after his last album Music To Be Murdered By.
The cover photo is a CGI of Slim Shady, Eminem's alter ego, zipped inside a body bag, directly referring to the name of the album, The Death of Slim Shady.
An exciting song for old Eminem fans to listen to would be Guilty Conscience 2, a sequel to Guilty Conscience from one of Eminem's early albums, The Slim Shady LP (1999). The track list also features 3 skits, so there are in actuality 16 full songs in the album.
As Eminem stated on his Twitter/X account, this album will be a concept album, meaning there is a storyline from the first song to the last. This is a novelty for Eminem, as anything that resembled a concept album from Eminem would be Relapse, his 2009 album. It should be noted that Relapse is not a concept album.
