After the Invasion of Seoul, Invader continued his mission of Global Space Invasion to the Basques Region in France. Currently (14 November), there are 42 mosaics in the region.
The Basque Country
Basque Country is a border region between France and Spain, known for its peculiar cultural identity, language, and tradition. It is immensely rich in heritage, with a mix of ancient customs and modern influences, and its unique Euskara language.
Invader is invading this region for the first time. Bear in mind that this is not a random invasion, but one that has much thought put into it, including the subjects and locations of the mosaics. After going to Seoul, Invader doubles down on his streak of Invasions and takes his first step into the Basque Country.
Bayonne-anglet-Biarritz
Bayonne, Anglet, and Biarritz (BAB) are the chief towns of the French Basque Country. Thus, Invader used BAB to code these mosaics. These 3 cities are tourist destinations, a far contrast to the neighboring parts of the southern Basque Country, remaining as a cultural capital and a beach destination.
Among the many mosaics, much of them reference local designs and cultures, including the Ikurriña flag, the surfing culture, art, and history of the location where the mosaic is installed. Invader had clearly done his research and made every single one of his mosaics intriguing and captivating for anyone viewing it.
